Making Dreams Come True in 70 Days

Downtime to end tonight

Most of the last two days were not so productive. I spent them playing endlessly long games on a website. Originally I had decided to beat them first, but then last night I decided the end wasn’t anywhere in sight and it’s wasn’t really worth my time.

It’s strange how that works, sometimes. You’re motivated, you’re on a roll, and then you just get stuck in the mud one day and you stop. Afterward, It’s a matter of getting unstuck and moving on again.

I stuck some notes on my laptop around my keyboard to keep me motivated and on track.

“Do things that make you proud!”
“Tomorrow begins the night before!”
“Do everything with energy and enthusiasm!”

Sometimes, all I need to do is think about what I’m doing to get out of the mud. The main problem is while playing games, I don’t really think to hard. So by putting reminders where I can’t miss them actually helps a lot.

So, I’ve had my time to wind down. Time to get back to work!

  1. I know the feeling, getting hooked on something unproductive, but I’m very glad to hear you’re feeling more motivated again.

I hope the notes are able to keep you motivated. Maybe it’s something I’ll try to keep me on-track.

Good luck! I’ll be reading and looking forward to your next post!

  2. You should! I know that for me, the best check of whether I’m spending my time well or not is to be asked whether or not I’m proud of what I’m doing. It hits a spot where I personally can’t make any excuses for.

Just finished getting back on track with correspondence, so I should have time for the post tomorrow. I know what I’m going to write about =D

  3. It’s always important to take a break. However, when you’re in the zone. You have to go full throttle.

You were always a sucker for games. Staying up all night playing games and what not…tsk tsk.

Haha no kidding. At least we beat the Wii bowling game, though! Have you incorporated the throw the ball technique into your real life bowling? hmm?

Can’t remember what I did the day after, but I remember I was ridiculously tired, haha.
