New Job Possibility?!
This morning when I woke up I found that I got an email from Koutoku (the hair stylist)! He said that he’s set the grounds for me to meet with the stylist that he knows and asked me about my schedule to set a date. I have the event with Sugimoto-san tomorrow, but if things work out I should be able to meet with him later this week!
Here’s the brief introduction Koutoku gave me in his email. The stylist’s name is Takuma Kano.

I’m excited! My network of people I know in Japan is growing pretty steadily. I feel like I already have a strong connection to the industry.
Other than that, it’s pretty relaxing here in Yokohama. Nakayoshi-san is really kind and she makes really good food! I’m grateful that she and her husband let us stay here for the weekend. There’s not much I can do for them at the moment in return, but I do wash the dishes after every meal =D I think being here has helped me recover a bit from all the things that have been going on, and I’m ready to launch into tomorrow. I was sort of forced to relax today, too. There’s a storm outside so it’s pretty much an indoor day.
On a side note, I’m borrowing and extra computer they have here, and wow what an experience it is. It’s an old mac that runs on 500Mhz of processor speed and 384MB of memory. Just going to gmail slows the entire computer down, lol. I remember back in the day when browsers had the option to not load all images automatically. I need that now!

So 3 year apprentice and already freelance….Sounds doable. Though reality isn’t as kind, I think you have the ability within to succeed. And hooray for Japanese font! あいうえお！！！

I did the RSS thing to my yahoo, but since i don’t check “my yahoo” it is ineffective. Maybe i’m just doing something wrong, but I suggest getting e-mail subscription to maximize traffic. Just a thought.
Man, getting the Japanese font to work was tough! I had to go into the database settings and change all of the font coding into unicode. It would have been easy except for the computer was sooo slowwwww, haha. 日本語バンザイ！
I’m reading up on him now, but apparently I might have a chance to meet and apprentice under a guy called 中山秀征! Apparently, he does some stylist work as well! I’m currently looking up stuff about him now. Really excited to meet him as well.
Hmm, I’ll have to look into what I can do about subscriptions, Maybe there’s some sort of plugin I can use to get that to work.
